Base Salary
$100k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own the enterprise Quality Engineering framework across UI, API, data, and service layers.
- Define automation strategies, coverage models, test pyramids, baselines, and quality metrics.
- Architect automation solutions supporting selective execution, CI/CD integration, rapid validation, and fast feedback.
- Establish standards for automation code quality, reusability, reviews, naming conventions, and framework ownership.
- Serve as the technical authority for automation architecture and design decisions.
- Partner with development teams to advance shift-left testing and developer-owned quality initiatives.
- Identify and reduce automation flakiness through root cause analysis and framework improvements.
- Lead automation transformation initiatives across multiple teams and applications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and owning automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong hands-on expertise with one or more of Playwright, Selenium, MABL, Java, or Python.
- Deep experience with API and service-layer automation, including integration and contract testing.
- Strong CI/CD experience involving pipeline integration, execution gating, parallelization, artifact management, and reporting.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale test data strategies and scaling automation across multiple teams.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries; service virtualization and dependency mocking; cloud-based testing environments; accessibility testing; and quality maturity assessments.
