Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform capabilities for AI/ML model and GenAI agent training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and management.
- Build platform integrations with frameworks in the AI/ML ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the global AI/ML community to advance AIOps and contribute to open-source projects.
- Ensure current AI/ML tooling advancements are available to Databricks customers.
- Mentor junior engineers through project planning, technical decisions, and code and documentation reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least five years of hands-on experience building production systems with Python, Scala, or Java, with Python preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining software tools and frameworks for AI/ML, ideally in an open-source environment.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and AIOps concepts and technologies, including model training, deployment, and monitoring.
- Preferred: deep experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, or similar projects.
- Preferred: significant AI/ML open-source contributions involving projects such as SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MLflow.
