Base Salary
$236k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the technical direction, long-term roadmap, and strategic initiatives for Marketplace, Search, Ads Platform, and App Experiences.
- Lead architecture and implementation of scalable platform components and critical consumer-facing features.
- Drive technical excellence, reliability, responsiveness, consistency, and efficiency across multiple engineering teams.
- Coordinate with engineering leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to deliver company-wide results.
- Mentor and guide engineers while promoting best practices, ownership, accountability, and technical growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working across the software stack with backend architectural leadership.
- Track record of leading critical projects across multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing technical strategy that drives improvements in reliability and responsiveness.
- Previous project management or people management experience, including influencing, communicating, and coaching others.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, customer focus, and ability to work through ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
