Sr Developer, C# .NET & APIs
TransUnionResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise backend applications and services using C# and .NET.
- Lead implementation of secure, high-performing solutions for large-scale data processing and customer-facing products.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain REST-based APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Participate in architecture discussions covering application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while improving system reliability.
- Drive software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and support their professional development.
- Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and release activities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications, with a strong backend focus.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and application architecture.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and iterative delivery.
- Experience implementing automated testing and CI/CD practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with C# and .NET Framework or .NET Core.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs and web services.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
- Experience with Git, branching, pull requests, and collaborative code reviews.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred experience building and deploying containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred knowledge of SOAP web services, enterprise integrations, large-scale data processing, high-volume transactional applications, and observability or monitoring tools.
