Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy secure Microsoft services in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Build scalable backend systems, including distributed systems and microservices, with data integration and defined contracts.
- Apply principles for high availability, scalability, robustness, observability, SLOs, and telemetry.
- Build and deploy services to Azure using infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and modern deployment practices.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and site reliability teams to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Identify technical risks and dependencies, propose solutions, and contribute to design decisions.
- Apply engineering best practices including code quality, design reviews, testing, and operational excellence.
- Support other engineers through knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
- Participate in service ownership, on-call rotations, and incident response.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on a Single Scope Background Investigation with Polygraph.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements before and after hiring.
- Successful verification of the stated security clearance and completion of the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- U.S. citizenship, subject to verification, is required due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
