Base Salary

$102k - $219k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain software features and service components for Azure AI capabilities in air-gapped and sovereign cloud environments.
  • Develop automation for model and service deployment, release validation, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate across Azure AI to integrate capabilities and resolve networking, identity, and cloud infrastructure dependencies.
  • Own scoped features from design through testing and deployment while delivering secure, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Improve observability, participate in on-call rotations, investigate issues using telemetry and debugging tools, and implement lasting fixes.
  • Use approved AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, for prototyping, coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Incorporate customer and partner feedback and contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with polygraph.
  • Successful verification of the stated security clearance and completion of Microsoft Cloud background checks.
  • U.S. citizenship verification due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
  • Preferred: experience developing backend services, APIs, or automation using C#, Python, or another general-purpose programming language.
  • Preferred: experience building, deploying, or supporting applications on Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or comparable distributed systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, software troubleshooting, logs, telemetry, and debugging tools.
  • Preferred: ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and collaborate and communicate through code reviews and documentation.
