Principal Software Engineer / PMTS - Bangalore
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Lead the architectural design, technical implementation, and scaling of critical full-stack and distributed systems.
- Build and ship secure, optimized, production-grade software using AI-first development workflows.
- Design systems in which AI agents integrate into human workflows and contribute to shared system context.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Design and evolve highly scalable APIs and distributed systems.
- Establish standards for code quality, performance, reliability, security, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and inspire engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical strategy.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address complex production problems and maintain highly available services.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in full-stack software development and large-scale system architecture.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create reliable system context for AI outputs.
- Mastery of multiple programming languages and enterprise design patterns, including Java, Python, C++, Go, Node.js, Scala, or C#.
- Knowledge of API-related web standards and technologies including SOAP, WSDL, HTTP, and JSON.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Trino, or Redshift.
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience developing SaaS applications on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, EKS, and Docker.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution.
- Strong SQL, object-oriented programming, software development, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
- Open-source participation or relevant project contributions are preferred.
- A degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
