Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of on-premises MLOps solutions for machine learning model delivery.
- Build scalable data pipelines and model training and deployment systems with data scientists and software engineers.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and management tools for MLOps infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Work with organizational stakeholders to understand machine learning needs and develop suitable MLOps solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug user issues.
- Stay current with MLOps, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies and share knowledge with the team.
- Mentor junior team members and support their growth in MLOps.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in MLOps, software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, Python, or Kotlin.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience deploying and operating workloads, debugging pod failures, and working with Deployments, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Services, and resource limits.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Value code simplicity and performance.
- Preferred: understanding of the machine learning project lifecycle.
- Preferred: experience with Kubeflow or MLflow.
- Preferred: experience with scikit-learn, LGBM, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Preferred: experience with Spark, S3, or Hadoop.
- Preferred: strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Preferred: experience building and scaling model-serving tools and APIs with tight SLAs.
- Preferred: experience designing and building MLOps infrastructure, including data pipelines, model training and deployment systems, and monitoring tools.
