Responsibilities
- Drive the design and development of major architecture components and participate in requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Architect scalable distributed systems, cloud-native services, AI-enabled workflows, and automation capabilities.
- Provide code reviews, design reviews, technical guidance, and cross-functional technical insights.
- Improve DevOps, Agile, CI/CD, API design, and on-call processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership and direction.
- Own engineering initiatives and promote high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in architecting and designing cloud services.
- Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework, with expertise in Spring MVC, distributed systems, concurrency, and related enterprise technologies.
- Experience with microservice architectures and high-performance, high-scale systems.
- Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS and services including EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift, and RDS.
- Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, CI/CD processes, Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience or familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, prompt engineering, AI observability, and responsible AI practices is desirable.
- Knowledge of C++ and Windows internals is an added advantage.
