Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, document, debug, and troubleshoot moderately complex software applications.
- Create technical design specifications based on application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.
- Build application enhancements through configuration and software development.
- Perform unit testing and develop test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Analyze applications for compliance with security protocols.
- Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, after-action reviews, peer reviews, and cross-functional application development activities.
- Resolve missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information in complex research and data analysis.
- Provide general guidance or training to junior support or professional personnel when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field preferred; the standard requirement is typically a BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally 2–5 years of experience in a related field, or a master’s degree with generally 2–4 years of related experience.
- At least 2 years of application engineering experience is preferred.
- Experience with project and product delivery methodologies.
- Certification is required in some areas.
