Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship end-to-end features across AWS infrastructure, Python and Java backend services, agentic LLM workflows, and Angular frontend applications.
- Build and evolve agentic AI workflows on Amazon Bedrock using tool calling, RAG, prompts, validation loops, embeddings, and fallback strategies.
- Own Python serverless Lambda services and Java Spring Boot or Quarkus microservices with REST APIs, persistence, asynchronous pipelines, and message-bus integrations.
- Define AWS CDK infrastructure across multi-stack deployments and maintain shared API and schema contracts with backward compatibility.
- Develop log chunking, embeddings, vector and semantic search in OpenSearch, and relevance-ranking logic.
- Implement idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling, testing, observability, tracing, dashboards, alarms, and structured diagnostic events.
- Own CI/CD workflows in Azure DevOps with gated, reversible, blue/green, canary, and rollback-oriented deployments.
- Use AI coding agents such as Claude and Kiro while writing precise specifications, creating reusable agent capabilities, and critically reviewing generated output.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required; an MS is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in software development with enterprise server, storage, or networking products.
- Deep experience with Python typing, asynchronous patterns, validation, error handling, and codebase-scale software structure.
- Deep experience with Java backend engineering, Spring Boot and/or Quarkus, clean architecture, and idiomatic type-system usage.
- Production AWS serverless and cloud experience with Lambda, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, OpenSearch, VPC, VPC Endpoints, API Gateway, EventBridge, IAM, CloudWatch, SSM Parameter Store, ECR, and Amazon Bedrock.
- Experience designing REST services, versioning APIs, managing backward compatibility, and working with JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, transactions, relational databases, and DynamoDB data modeling.
- Experience designing and operating microservices and event-driven systems with NATS.io, Kafka, SQS, or similar message buses.
- Hands-on experience building LLM applications with function calling, prompt design, RAG, embeddings, and output-quality evaluation.
- Experience building and maintaining Angular and TypeScript web interfaces.
- Knowledge of Java virtual threads, concurrency correctness, Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Git, Azure DevOps pipelines, unit testing, integration testing, mocking, structured logging, tracing, metrics, secure coding, authentication, and operational analytics.
- Ability to define precise specifications, validate AI-generated code, make independent architectural decisions, and use AI coding agents judiciously.
