Responsibilities
- Administer and scale GitHub Copilot and Claude Code across the enterprise, including provisioning, policy enforcement, and usage analytics.
- Develop custom Copilot Skills and agent configurations that encode domain knowledge and team workflows.
- Drive adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices and establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and AI-assisted automation to improve engineering productivity and automation value.
- Design and provision reliable, compliant cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services.
- Develop internal tooling, automation pipelines, and self-service portals for AI developer tool adoption.
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Build dashboards and metrics pipelines tracking AI tool usage, productivity impact, and cost optimization.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation and improve operational stability.
- Author ADRs, C4 diagrams, and reference architectures; chair architecture review boards; mentor engineers; and influence technical strategy.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least five years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Backend development experience with Python and/or Java.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption of AI-assisted development practices.
- Understanding of LLM developer tools, context management, RAG patterns, and responsible AI guardrails.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins and Spinnaker and with automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and serverless architectures.
- Practical cloud-native experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Preferred experience designing and scaling GitHub Copilot, Copilot Enterprise, and Copilot Extensions deployments across large developer populations.
- Preferred experience with MCP servers, Copilot Extensions/Skills, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Preferred experience with AI governance, prompt-injection defense, data-leak prevention, content filtering, model routing, and audit/telemetry patterns.
- Preferred architecture leadership experience, including ADRs, C4 diagrams, reference architectures, architecture review boards, mentoring, and technical strategy.
