Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement solutions for moderate-to-high-complexity infrastructure engineering problems.
- Drive infrastructure engineering workstreams and projects across multiple technologies and platforms.
- Assess upstream and downstream system impacts and recommend actions to protect resiliency and performance.
- Use authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure analysis, design documentation, automation, and remediation validation.
- Architect scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions for business-critical platforms and services.
- Improve infrastructure standards, automation practices, and operational processes.
- Provide senior technical guidance to engineers and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Deep knowledge of one or more infrastructure areas, including hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
- Deep knowledge of a specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, including operation across and migration between public and private clouds.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation and data-sensitivity practices.
- Ability to independently solve infrastructure and design problems with little to no oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
- Preferred experience in large-scale regulated financial services or enterprise technology environments.
- Preferred familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, DevOps or site reliability engineering practices, performance engineering, capacity planning, and observability or monitoring tools.
- Preferred experience influencing technical direction across engineering and platform teams and supporting enterprise-wide infrastructure platforms.
