
Sr Lead Software Engineer – Python, AWS, UI, Agentic AI (ADK/LangGraph)

Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, system design, component design, integration patterns, and end-to-end implementation of complex software solutions.
- Deliver production AI and agentic applications using ADK and LangGraph, including orchestration workflows, tool or function calling, and multi-step stateful graphs.
- Define and enforce REST and contract-first API standards, including versioning, backward compatibility, usability, and reliability.
- Lead UI engineering for scalable, performant, accessible, and consistent user experiences.
- Write secure, high-quality production code and establish standards through design reviews, code reviews, and reference implementations.
- Drive resiliency and operational readiness through performance tuning, observability, incident response, and remediation of recurring issues.
- Build AI application quality controls and production guardrails.
- Partner with Product, Design, Security, SRE, and engineering teams to translate requirements into reliable APIs and user experiences.
- Improve CI/CD, test automation, security scanning, and dependency management practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Expert-level Python proficiency and strong experience building enterprise backend services.
- Strong hands-on UI engineering experience with modern web applications such as React.
- Production experience building, operating, and maintaining AI applications using ADK and LangGraph.
- Strong experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for production services.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs with FastAPI or an equivalent technology, including REST services and microservices.
- Deep understanding of software design principles and patterns for large-scale systems.
- Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and strong SQL fundamentals.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment.
- Understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, performance engineering, and security-by-design.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, drive stakeholder alignment, and guide delivery plans and risk management.
- Ability to code in additional languages, learn technologies quickly, and guide others in adopting standards and best practices.
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud applications on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with containers and CI/CD in production environments.
