Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional automated test scenarios based on user stories and sprint work.
- Interface with development, systems, wiring, design release, feature engineering, and test teams to implement automated tests and validate electrical features.
- Review requirements for testability and log, debug, analyze, and report test results and valid defects in JIRA.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot system defects and participate in hardware and software root-cause analysis.
- Support system design, documentation, testing, and validation for automotive infotainment and vehicle programs.
- Estimate testing work during sprint planning and provide validation rounds for manual and automated testing.
- Inspect and maintain hardware laboratory test nodes using corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
- Develop debugging processes for scripts and maintain code, scripts, and tools that expand test automation capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, execute automated tests, and provide detailed feedback and comprehensive defect reports.
- Identify testing and velocity improvements for upcoming vehicle programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with an emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems-engineering tools and analyses including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and tools for automotive software development.
- Experience with C or C++.
- Subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, over-the-air updates, and test bench construction.
