Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional and automated test scenarios based on user stories and sprint requirements.
- Implement automated tests and related tools in collaboration with development and test teams.
- Review requirements for testability and estimate testing work during sprint planning.
- Log test results and valid defects in JIRA, debug failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot hardware and software defects with feature engineers.
- Validate electrical features, infotainment systems, embedded controls, and distributed vehicle functions on laboratory test benches.
- Maintain hardware laboratory nodes and develop debugging processes for test scripts.
- Develop and maintain code, scripts, and tools that expand test automation capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, validation rounds, documentation, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with C or C++.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software-development tools.
- Experience with systems-engineering tools such as boundary diagrams, fault-tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, over-the-air updates, and test-bench construction.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
