Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated functional test scenarios based on user stories and sprint requirements.
- Interface with development, systems, wiring, design release, and test teams to implement automated tests and related tools.
- Review requirements for testability and estimate testing tasks during sprint planning.
- Log test results, debug failures, identify root causes, and enter valid defects into JIRA.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot hardware and software defects with feature engineers.
- Perform system design, documentation, integration testing, and validation for automotive infotainment and electrical features.
- Maintain hardware laboratory test nodes and apply corrective and predictive maintenance.
- Develop debugging processes and maintain scripts, code, and tools that expand test automation capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, validation rounds, root-cause analyses, and continuous testing improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field emphasizing control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems engineering tools and methods including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software development tools.
- Experience with C or C++.
- Subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including braking, steering, or suspension systems.
- Understanding of powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Ability to communicate, document, solve problems, manage multiple timelines, and collaborate within diverse global teams.
- Preferred qualifications include ADAS feature testing, over-the-air update experience, and test bench construction.
