Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated functional and integration tests for distributed automotive features.
- Interface with development and test teams to understand requirements and implement automated tests and supporting tools.
- Review requirements for testability and provide testing estimates during sprint planning.
- Log test results and defects in JIRA, debug failures, and perform root-cause analysis for hardware and software issues.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot defects with feature engineers and provide validation rounds for manual and automated fixes.
- Participate in system design, documentation, code reviews, and testing for infotainment and vehicle systems.
- Maintain hardware laboratory nodes through corrective and predictive maintenance.
- Develop and maintain debugging processes, scripts, code, and tools that expand test automation capabilities.
- Identify testing improvements and provide detailed feedback and comprehensive bug reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related field with an emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems-engineering tools and analyses including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software-development tools.
- Experience with C or C++.
- Subject matter expertise in chassis systems including brakes, steering, and suspension hardware and controls.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, over-the-air updates, and test bench construction.
- Ability to communicate, document, solve problems, manage multiple timelines, and collaborate in a diverse global team.
