Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional and integration test scenarios using user stories from Agile sprints.
- Implement automated tests and related tools in collaboration with development and test teams.
- Review requirements for testability and log, debug, and validate test results and defects in JIRA.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware defects with feature engineers and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Design, document, and test infotainment and other automotive systems.
- Estimate testing work during sprint planning and track testing velocity and improvements.
- Maintain hardware laboratory nodes using corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
- Develop debugging processes, scripts, code, and tools to expand test automation capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, execute automated tests, and provide detailed feedback and bug reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with an emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems engineering tools and methods including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and tools for automotive software development.
- Experience with C or C++, automotive chassis systems, powertrain systems and controls, and concepts including dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, over-the-air updates, and test-bench construction.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
