Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications with robust architecture, API integration, and data modeling.
- Lead complex mobile features from technical design through deployment, including low-level design, API contracts, and data flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain security, reliability, monitoring, alerting, and incident-resolution standards for owned services and components.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled capabilities in mobile experiences using established patterns.
- Provide technical mentorship and promote code quality, testing, CI/CD, mobile performance, and reliability best practices.
Requirements
- Professional experience building and shipping production iOS or Android applications at scale.
- Demonstrated ownership of mobile features or services from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Strong proficiency in at least one native mobile stack, such as Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java, including API consumption, offline handling, and error management.
- Experience with mobile application architecture, low-level design, API design, data modeling, and unit, integration, and UI testing.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and the ability to integrate AI/ML-enabled capabilities into mobile experiences.
- Preferred: expertise in modular and scalable mobile architecture, reusable components, shared libraries, and architectural evolution.
- Preferred: experience optimizing startup time, memory usage, battery consumption, and application performance using profiling, analytics, and observability tools.
- Preferred: experience leading mobile platform migrations, framework upgrades, or adoption of productivity and quality improvements.
- Preferred: experience designing and integrating APIs and data models between mobile clients and backend services, including versioning and resilience strategies.
- Preferred: experience operating AI/ML-enabled mobile features such as personalized content, recommendations, or intelligent assistance.
