Base Salary
$149k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a team designing and developing core database system functionalities.
- Create architecture and designs that solve complex scalability problems.
- Develop innovations to improve system robustness and performance.
- Implement functional and system tests for assigned areas and overall database quality.
- Debug defects and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Participate actively in release and deployment processes.
- Own database services end to end from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and customer engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science.
- 4+ years of industry experience in systems or database-internals programming for SMTS, or 6+ years for LMTS.
- 4+ years of technical leadership in enterprise server-platform or systems architecture and design for SMTS, or 6+ years for LMTS.
- Deep expertise with distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
- Experience with highly concurrent, multithreaded or multiprocess data structures and design.
- Strong Java or C programming skills.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and software-engineering skills.
- PostgreSQL software-development experience and community-contributor involvement are preferred.
- Experience building a high-performance, large-scale database platform is preferred.
