Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications using the company technology stack.
- Architect and build mission-critical data and backend systems for payments, simulations, and pricing decisions.
- Build software components that integrate into fully functional software systems.
- Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects and recommend solutions to technical issues.
- Support business operations and improve engineering productivity.
- Debug, monitor, and resolve production issues affecting product and system reliability.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Four years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- Experience with C++, Python, Java, Git, Go, or SVN.
- Experience with SQL or MySQL.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms development and functionality.
- Experience designing technology stacks.
- Experience debugging and monitoring production services.
- Experience with distributed systems, the Model Development Lifecycle, and machine learning.
Benefits
- Annual base pay range of $202,000 to $246,000, with eligibility for Uber’s bonus program and potential additional compensation.
