Base Salary
$179k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory needs and deliver customer experiences.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to build and operate software.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Implement refactoring and performance improvements to reduce technical debt.
- Influence long-term technology strategy and mentor members of the engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 3+ years with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred: 3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, AI coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, mentoring, cross-functional engineering leadership, and coding standards.
