Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions and collaborate with digital product managers and architects.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, improve performance, and evaluate emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and substantial experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with AI coding tools, observability, mentoring engineers, cross-functional engineering initiatives, coding standards, and design patterns.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location: $197,300-$225,100 in McLean, Virginia and $215,200-$245,600 in New York, New York.
