Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize technical vision for the domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation.
- Provide expertise on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy and API standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Provide hands-on technical contribution while mentoring engineers and strengthening team expertise.
- Lead cross-divisional projects that advance technological best practices and enhancements.
- Create communications, code samples, blog posts, and other materials to share technical knowledge.
- Balance multiple projects and maximize organizational impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with commonly used languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience across the full system development lifecycle, including conception, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Preferred experience architecting AI-driven solutions and workflows.

- Annual salary varies by location: $244,700-$279,200 in Plano, TX and Richmond, VA, or $269,100-$307,200 in McLean, VA.
