Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure software solutions while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
- Write and maintain automation or application code using at least one programming language or scripting language.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation while validating outputs through review and testing.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and hypothesis-driven debugging.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation capabilities, and technical processes to improve delivery and system stability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 4+ years of applied experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals including DNS, HTTP/S, and TCP/IP, and distributed-system failure modes.
- Ability to write and maintain automation in Python, Java, Go, Bash, or another programming language, with comfort using Git.
- Hands-on experience with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, and structured production troubleshooting.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, deployments, configuration, and secrets management.
- Knowledge of software development toolsets, technical processes, industry technology trends, and secure coding practices.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and technical recommendations while following security and data-handling requirements.
- Preferred experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
