Responsibilities

  • Establish and evolve the team’s quality-engineering system, including test strategy, standards, tooling, test data, and feedback loops.
  • Design and build sustainable automated coverage for complex, large-scale data-processing workflows.
  • Ensure quality across 3D data ingestion, processing, streaming, and web-rendering capabilities.
  • Identify data edge cases, performance bottlenecks, orchestration issues, interface changes, and cross-team dependencies, then translate risks into test coverage.
  • Validate functional correctness, user experience, reliability, scalability, performance, and resource efficiency under realistic conditions.
  • Develop scalable test-data strategies for evolving spatial datasets, file formats, and data structures.
  • Enable developers and teammates with testing guidelines, protocols, tooling, and quality signals, while contributing selectively to manual testing.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience owning and advancing quality engineering for data-intensive, high-performance processing systems.
  • Hands-on experience measuring correctness, runtime, scalability, and resource consumption across CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and I/O.
  • A systematic, data-driven approach to investigating failures and diagnosing deterministic, concurrent, parallel, and nondeterministic behavior.
  • Strong Python skills and practical experience with PyTest or comparable test frameworks, plus the ability to understand unfamiliar code and complex systems.
  • Practical experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes in development or production-like environments.
  • Sound engineering judgment for balancing functional quality, performance, reliability, delivery speed, and infrastructure cost.
  • Interest in applying AI to improve QA systems and automation.
  • C++ knowledge is a preferred qualification.
  • Experience testing 3D web-rendering technologies such as WebGL, WebGPU, or Three.js is preferred.
  • Experience with browser automation tools such as Playwright is preferred.

Benefits

  • 30 days of paid time off per year.
  • Subsidized access to EGYM Wellpass fitness and wellness facilities.
  • Deutschlandticket subsidy for public transportation.
  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid work setup with remote work and dedicated in-office days each week.
