Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business and user needs.
- Perform feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk assessment, systems analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application development problems and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and install or support application systems.
- Develop security measures and perform post-implementation analysis to ensure system functionality.
- Define and follow operating standards and procedures and support compliance with applicable controls.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new and lower-level analysts.
- Drive adoption of AI and generative AI across software development processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to business and technology partners.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Strong programming expertise in Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, and Databricks.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of secure software development practices and application security controls.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin AI is relevant to the role.
