Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable RESTful microservices with ASP.NET Core Web API and .NET.
- Own Order Management, Inventory, Pricing Engine, Catalog Sync, and Notifications services.
- Build and consume Shopify webhooks and Storefront and Admin APIs.
- Integrate with Amazon SP-API, Walmart Marketplace API, ERP, payment gateways, and tax services.
- Support legacy services and phased brownfield migration work.
- Write unit, integration, and BDD tests using xUnit, Reqnroll, and FluentAssertions.
- Define API contracts and inter-service communication using SQS and EventBridge.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, sprint ceremonies, and client technical discussions.
- Support environment setup and infrastructure-as-code activities with DevOps on AWS.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of backend development experience with strong C# and .NET expertise.
- Experience with ASP.NET Core, .NET 6+, REST API integration, OpenAPI, and Swagger.
- Knowledge of clean architecture, DDD, CQRS, repository pattern, and dependency injection.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, SQS, S3, RDS, or DynamoDB.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL Server and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Knowledge of JWT and OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Brownfield experience integrating new services with existing systems.
- Experience with Docker and containerized workflows.
- Strong written and spoken English and experience with Agile/Scrum and Jira.
- Preferred experience includes retail, e-commerce, B2B commerce, marketplace API integrations, event-driven architecture, Keycloak, multi-realm identity management, EF Core, Npgsql, and promotional products or print-on-demand domains.
