Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain customized IT solutions in Java across classic JEE middleware and a microservice-oriented target platform.
- Reengineer and migrate classic components to the modern platform, including analyzing the existing landscape, developing migration scenarios, and supporting parallel operation.
- Own the software development lifecycle from analysis and technical conception through architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, and governance requirements.
- Develop and extend central Oracle database structures using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure modernization and document application IT compliance in a regulated banking environment.
- Perform code reviews, share knowledge, and improve software quality through automated testing with JUnit.
- Monitor automated test results in Teamscale and Fortify.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, Feature Engineers, DevOps colleagues, and the wider team to improve customer satisfaction and technical collaboration.
- Help drive technical topics and shape the technical roadmap through workshops, peer programming, and mentoring.
Requirements
- University degree focused on software development, such as business computer science, or a comparable qualification.
- At least five years of practical experience in software development with Java.
- Experience with Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, Oracle, Hibernate, Apache Kafka, Maven, Git, and IntelliJ.
- Knowledge of complex Java middleware and distributed architectures.
- Strong conceptual understanding of IT architecture and secure operation.
- Knowledge of requirements in regulated environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and collaboration with DevOps colleagues.
- Knowledge or experience with hybrid or private cloud environments is advantageous, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Elasticsearch, Ansible, and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, customer focus, and willingness to share knowledge.
