Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end functional and non-functional quality for modules and releases.
- Design and execute manual, automated, unit, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory test strategies for web and backend applications.
- Lead test automation efforts and architect scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Cucumber.
- Define and drive QA strategy, deliverables, quality ownership, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Identify defects early, diagnose root causes, improve test coverage, and validate AI model integrity.
- Partner with product owners, developers, DevOps, and stakeholders during discovery and epic reviews to identify risks and ensure environment readiness and stability.
- Leverage AI agents, self-healing automation, and AI-assisted testing to accelerate root cause analysis and improve product quality.
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
- 8–11 years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer.
- Strong experience planning and executing tests for scalable applications and hands-on experience architecting automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript and Cucumber; Java or JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with AI-driven testing approaches and test management tools such as TestLink and Xray.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, SQL, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Experience with functional and non-functional testing and a strong quality mindset.
- Familiarity with virtual environments, Windows, and shell operations.
- Experience testing web and backend applications, with Python experience advantageous.
- WCAG familiarity and knowledge of HTTP and cloud platforms, preferably AWS, are advantageous.
- Experience with risk-based testing and CI/CD is advantageous.
- ISTQB, ISEB, or TMap certification is a plus.
