Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand requirements and translate them into scalable application solutions.
- Design and develop modern applications across application, data, cloud, authentication, and authorization domains.
- Lead application modernization initiatives and cloud-native transformation strategies.
- Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and container-based architectures.
- Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and delivery teams.
- Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
- Lead technical discussions, work sessions, and solution reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach junior developers and technical team members.
- Support application modernization offerings, reusable solution accelerators, delivery methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Participate in technical communities, innovation initiatives, and knowledge-sharing forums.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, including at least five years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
- Experience delivering at least three Agile-based development projects and at least two large-scale cloud application development or modernization programs.
- Strong experience in application development, support, and modernization projects.
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications and working with microservices-based architectures.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SOAP Services, XML, JSON, Maven, Gradle, API integration, React, HTML5, CSS3, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, SQL databases, NoSQL databases, Apache Tomcat, DevOps practices, CI/CD frameworks, source code management, and automated deployment processes.
- Familiarity with application performance and infrastructure monitoring tools such as New Relic and Splunk.
- Knowledge of cloud-native design principles including containerization, stateless application design, 12-Factor App methodology, and API-first development.
- Preferred experience with microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design, Angular, ReactJS, VueJS, ExpressJS, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, DynamoDB, Python, Node.js, JPA, Hibernate, Quarkus, Go, Scala, API gateway platforms, API lifecycle management, JBoss EAP, Open Liberty, Kafka, Nginx, Jetty, Oracle WebLogic, RabbitMQ, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Jira, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
