Responsibilities
- Advise major customers and resolve complex MongoDB architecture, performance, recovery, security, and operational challenges.
- Provide expertise on best practices for running MongoDB at scale across database, drivers, cloud, and infrastructure environments.
- Represent customer needs when collaborating with product management and development teams.
- Contribute to internal software development projects for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics support tools.
- Participate in scheduled out-of-hours or non-working-day support coverage as needed.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of specific technical engineering experience.
- Strong experience in one or more of systems administration, distributed systems, network administration, database architecture and administration, application architecture, data architecture and design, or performance tuning and benchmarking.
- For operations-focused candidates, experience administering large-scale production environments including hardware, operating systems, networks, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud resources.
- Advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting, real-time problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, teamwork, and rapid learning skills.
- Experience with one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl is advantageous.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
