Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Components.
- Implement MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.
- Integrate REST APIs, JSON services, third-party SDKs, authentication, error handling, and financial or banking APIs.
- Implement asynchronous operations with Coroutines and Flow and dependency injection with Dagger, Hilt, Koin, or equivalent frameworks.
- Implement local data persistence with Room Database and SQLite, including data models, queries, migrations, and transactions.
- Develop unit-testable code, support UI and end-to-end testing, troubleshoot defects, and validate behavior across devices and operating-system versions.
- Optimize performance, responsiveness, memory, battery consumption, startup time, stability, offline behavior, and release reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA teams, Backend Developers, architects, and other delivery stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical refinement, release planning, documentation, defect triage, and production support.
- Apply mobile security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance practices to authentication, sensitive data, storage, transmission, and access control.
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and practical development guidance.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of Android application development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and good working knowledge of Java and the Android SDK.
- Experience with Android Studio, Jetpack Components, MVVM, Clean Architecture, and familiarity with MVP.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, parsing JSON, working with third-party SDKs, and handling authentication and API errors.
- Experience with Coroutines, Flow, dependency injection, Room Database, and SQLite.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD practices, Agile/Scrum, debugging, profiling, code reviews, and production issue resolution.
- Ability to write clean, modular, reusable, testable, and maintainable code across UI, business logic, API, and data layers.
- Ability to integrate Android applications with cloud-hosted backend services and support secure, reliable application connectivity.
- Preferred experience with Jetpack Compose, Firebase services, unit testing, UI testing, cloud-based mobile solutions, and application publishing.
- Preferred experience with banking, financial services, FinTech, payments, digital banking, lending, wealth management, or insurance applications.
- Preferred experience with mobile security testing, vulnerability remediation, performance monitoring, release management, payment gateways, or financial transaction workflows.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Professional certifications and training in Android, Kotlin, Agile, mobile security, financial technology, testing, or performance optimization are preferred but not mandatory.
