Base Salary
$307k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and architecture of the company-wide web frontend across Kikoff, Grant, and future products.
- Lead performance tuning for high-traffic surfaces through instrumentation, profiling, optimization, performance budgets, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Lead frontend infrastructure work spanning tooling, observability, monitoring, testing, developer experience, and build/deploy pipelines.
- Build and evolve shared UI components and libraries and establish frontend standards and code review practices.
- Lead complex cross-team projects that improve product reliability, responsiveness, and polish.
- Mentor engineers and raise the organization’s technical bar.
Requirements
- B.A., B.S., M.S., or strong self-taught fundamentals in computer science.
- 8+ years of industry experience leading large consumer-facing web applications across multiple teams.
- Experience building and operating consumer websites serving hundreds of thousands to millions of users at scale.
- Deep hands-on experience with frontend performance tuning, including profiling, instrumentation, bundle optimization, rendering performance, caching/CDN strategy, and performance budgets.
- Experience owning frontend infrastructure, build systems, design systems, observability, testing frameworks, and developer tooling.
- Deep hands-on production experience with React.
- Track record of measurable improvements in quality and performance, including load times, error rates, test coverage, and reliability.
- Ability to influence technical direction and align teams without direct authority.
- Ability to analyze data and distill information for business purposes.
