Base Salary

$154k - $208k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on the design, implementation, and deployment of Generative AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and new solutions for customer use cases.
  • Design, deploy, evaluate, fine-tune, and optimize LLM-powered agents, tools, embeddings, and retrieval approaches.
  • Deliver customer briefings, deep dives, presentations, public talks, white papers, blogs, and reference architectures.
  • Partner with Data Scientists, Solutions Architects, Sales, Business Development, and AWS Generative AI service teams to accelerate adoption.
  • Provide technical guidance to field teams and develop internal GenAI subject-matter-expert communities and enablement materials.
  • Gather customer feedback and translate it into business and technical requirements for AWS product and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in relevant technology domains and at least 7 years of software or Internet industry development or implementation/consulting experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in specific technology domain areas, as stated in the posting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Data and AI technologies and at least 5 years designing or implementing machine learning, AI, or deep learning solutions.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience in ML-related languages such as Python or Java.
  • Deep knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals, including architectures, training and inference lifecycles, model optimization, evaluation, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, function calling, agentic workflows, embeddings, and retrieval.
  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, data augmentation, Responsible AI, performance evaluation frameworks, AWS services, and the Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and customer-facing technical communication with audiences ranging from executives to developers.
  • Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, engineering, computer science, or another quantitative field.
  • Preferred qualifications include infrastructure, database, and networking architecture experience; experience with developer or end-user communities; and experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
