Responsibilities
- Develop large-scale software applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Build and maintain platform and asset-management products used by more than 40,000 customers and millions of endpoints.
- Commit production code and ship reliable software in an enterprise-scale startup environment.
- Implement software design patterns and solve large-scale software engineering challenges.
- Apply quality practices, telemetry, and observability as core parts of software delivery.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to maintain quality-first standards and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using tools such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming design principles.
- Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using Jersey or Spring.
- Experience designing and developing relational databases.
- Experience with both client-side and server-side development for responsive messaging.
- Expertise with caching systems; Redis experience is valued.
- Expert knowledge of quality testing practices.
- Experience treating telemetry and observability as core acceptance criteria.
- Solid Kotlin expertise is preferred.
