Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex AWS network architectures for cloud infrastructure.
- Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions using AWS services.
- Optimize network performance, security, and connectivity across multi-account and multi-region AWS environments.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure as code for network resources.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement network security controls and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop cloud networking strategy, automation, AI workflows, standardized repositories, and integrated Terraform pipelines.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support maintenance windows and time-sensitive production issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of network or infrastructure engineering experience supporting 24x7x365 production environments, including at least 3 years in large enterprise IT.
- 3+ years of experience deploying AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
- Experience with AWS network infrastructure including VPCs, CIDRs, subnets, route tables, internet gateways, NAT gateways, VPN, Site-to-Site VPN, AWS Transit Gateway, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, AWS Global Accelerator, VPC peering, AWS PrivateLink, VPC endpoints, network ACLs, security groups, AWS WAF, and AWS Shield.
- Demonstrated expertise in network architecture and segmentation.
- Experience deploying infrastructure as code in large-scale cloud environments.
- Experience with logging and telemetry platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, or Honeycomb.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, and self-management skills.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; CCNP; Python and Bash automation; AWS Organizations; AWS CloudFormation; and Cloudflare services including WAF, Zero Trust, DDoS, and CDN.
