Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Linux Kernel features for KVM virtualization, scheduling, memory management, IOMMU, and device trees.
- Optimize DVFS and other power and performance management technologies for ARM-based systems.
- Develop and improve system software for ARMv8 and ARMv9 platforms.
- Perform pre-silicon development on FPGA-based platforms and QEMU.
- Debug complex software issues using JTAG debuggers and contribute to upstream Linux Kernel projects.
- Analyze system requirements, propose system architectures, and maintain technical documentation.
- Lead engineers and cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, high-performance, secure software solutions.
- Perform security assessments, vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews.
- Develop security architectures and features, drive vulnerability remediation, respond to product security incidents, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master’s degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong Linux Kernel development experience, particularly with virtualization, schedulers, memory management, and device trees.
- Knowledge of ARMv8 and ARMv9 architecture, computer system architecture, board and SoC bring-up, device drivers, peripheral buses, and DDR memory controllers.
- Familiarity with Git or other SCM tools and JTAG debugging technologies.
- Prior contributions to open-source projects such as the Linux Kernel.
- Experience with ARM-based platforms, software performance management tools and frameworks, and embedded systems development methodologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 3+ years of software development experience or equivalent.
- Requires strong security expertise, advanced security assessment experience, technical leadership, complex problem-solving, and the ability to supervise direct reports.
