Base Salary
$145k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core platform services, frameworks, and developer tools.
- Develop automation for testing, integration, deployment, release workflows, version control integration, and code validation.
- Build infrastructure automation to provision and manage cloud environments reliably and consistently.
- Create internal tools and services that improve developer experience, engineering productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, maintainability, observability, and performance.
- Partner with software engineering and product management teams to gather requirements and deliver platform capabilities.
- Own features through design, documentation, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Mentor engineers on engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of production experience in backend, platform, DevOps, infrastructure, or distributed systems engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and one or more of Python, Shell, or Groovy.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, release automation, and testing workflows.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform, and cloud environment provisioning or management.
- Familiarity with Go for infrastructure tooling, automation, or cloud platform development.
- Experience designing scalable platform services, frameworks, APIs, developer-facing tools, or engineering workflow systems.
- Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, testing, debugging, observability, and performance analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, independence, operational accountability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
