Base Salary
$165k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Python backend services and tooling that expose network capabilities to internal application and service owners.
- Build and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code for provisioning, configuring, and managing network resources.
- Translate partner needs into automated, scalable workflows that replace manual ticket-based processes.
- Integrate observability and guardrails to make network changes safe, auditable, and measurable.
- Collaborate with application owners, reliability, and platform teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Write tests, documentation, and runbooks, and contribute to design reviews, roadmap planning, and network automation standards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to and triage operational issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Professional proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade services or automation.
- Hands-on Terraform Infrastructure as Code experience, including module design, reviews, and CI/CD integration.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing and switching concepts, DNS, load balancing, and security groups or firewalls.
- Ability to design safe, reusable abstractions, solve ambiguous systems problems, measure outcomes, and support internal customers.
- Preferred experience with GCP or AWS, service-to-service networking, network automation tooling, observability platforms such as Infroscope, testing frameworks, and secure-by-default practices.
