Base Salary
$165k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and tooling in Python for internal application and service owners.
- Build and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code for provisioning and managing network resources.
- Automate recurring network requests into scalable, safe, and reusable workflows.
- Integrate observability and guardrails for auditable and measurable network changes.
- Collaborate with application owners, reliability, and platform teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write tests, documentation, and runbooks, and contribute to network automation standards and roadmap planning.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to and triage operational issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade services or automation.
- Hands-on Terraform experience, including module design, reviews, and CI/CD integration.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching concepts, DNS, load balancing, and security groups or firewalls.
- Ability to design safe, reusable abstractions and solve ambiguous systems problems pragmatically.
- Preferred experience with GCP or AWS, service-to-service networking, and network automation tooling.
- Preferred familiarity with observability platforms such as Infroscope, testing frameworks, and secure-by-default practices.
