Base Salary
$165k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Python backend services and tooling that expose network capabilities to internal application and service owners.
- Build and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code, including provisioning and management of network resources.
- Automate recurring, ticket-based requests into scalable and reusable workflows.
- Integrate observability, guardrails, and auditing into network changes.
- Collaborate with application owners, reliability, and platform teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Write tests, documentation, and runbooks, and contribute to roadmap planning and network automation standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to and triage operational issues.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade services or automation.
- Hands-on Terraform Infrastructure as Code experience, including module design, reviews, and CI/CD integration.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing and switching concepts, DNS, load balancing, and security groups or firewalls.
- Ability to design safe, reusable abstractions and prioritize internal customer experience.
- Ability to break down ambiguous systems problems, propose pragmatic designs, and measure outcomes.
- Collaborative communication and alignment-building skills.
- Preferred experience with GCP and/or AWS, service-to-service networking, and network automation tooling.
- Preferred familiarity with observability platforms such as Infroscope and with testing frameworks and secure-by-default practices.

- Base salary range is $165,000–$206,500 USD.
