Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions for medical applications.
- Build full-stack software incorporating medical image processing and visualization techniques.
- Design and implement efficient front-end user interfaces for C++ applications.
- Develop software architecture and complex software components using C++, Python, OpenGL, Qt, CUDA, and OpenCL.
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, and engineers through development, code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide peer coaching and mentoring to other engineers and participate in process and design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience designing and implementing complex software components.
- Strong programming skills in a compiled language such as C++ and production software development experience in Python.
- Experience with OpenGL and/or modern UI frameworks such as Qt for C++ applications.
- Experience with GPU programming using CUDA or OpenCL.
- Experience designing and implementing software architecture.
- Proficiency with image processing algorithms and libraries such as OpenCV and ITK.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include medical image visualization experience, visualization techniques, and a proven track record in algorithm development.
- Bonus qualifications include robotics, edge computing, machine learning or deep learning for medical image segmentation, registration, or classification, DICOM and PACS integration, and cloud-based deployment.
