Base Salary
$110k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop user-friendly software and graphical user interfaces for experimental imaging setups.
- Control custom hardware by calling appropriate drivers and receiving returned data.
- Plot imaging results and data in accessible 2D and 3D formats.
- Apply software architecture, design, development, testing, integration, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel and provide technical expertise and creative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a preferred degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, engineering, math, or physics.
- At least 2 years of experience with programming and documentation procedures, methods, and operator instructions.
- Required knowledge of and experience coding in C++ and Qt.
- Experience conducting unit or performance tests, systems integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software architecture, design, and development, plus substantial knowledge of security concepts and secure coding techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate with varied audiences, and solve technical and organizational problems.
- Preferred experience includes 4 years in IT/programming, graphics, game design, virtual reality, signal processing, Unix/Linux, or higher education.
- Preferred proficiency with Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, or other advanced programming languages.
