Responsibilities
- Own technical solutioning for applications and infrastructure pursuits from qualification through proposal, presentations, and contracting.
- Lead discovery and solution workshops with client stakeholders and translate business needs into commercially viable architectures.
- Design application modernization, microservices, integration, DevSecOps, and Azure infrastructure solutions.
- Produce architecture diagrams, capability maps, estimates, delivery approaches, risk registers, and assumption logs.
- Shape deal structures, pricing, resourcing, transition plans, and modernization roadmaps with commercial and delivery leaders.
- Architect Azure-based microservices and cloud-native solutions using AKS, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Cosmos DB.
- Position GenAI adoption across the software development lifecycle, including AI-assisted coding, code review, requirements engineering, testing, and documentation.
- Build relationships with Microsoft account teams, represent the company in client and industry forums, and mentor junior architects and solution consultants.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in application architecture, software engineering, or technology consulting, including at least four years in a presales or solution architect role.
- Proven success shaping and winning mid-to-large application modernization and cloud transformation deals valued at USD 1M–10M+.
- Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, API design, integration patterns, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and Azure infrastructure.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bicep, Terraform, .NET and/or Java, GitHub Copilot, AI agents, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, governance, and FinOps.
- Ability to produce executive-level deliverables, present to C-level stakeholders, and operate in a matrixed, multi-country consulting environment.
- Preferred Microsoft certifications include Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, and AI Engineer Associate.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, or Dynamics 365 integration scenarios is preferred.
- Industry experience in financial services, manufacturing, public sector, or retail and working knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia are preferred.
