Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure migration and solution architecture initiatives for enterprise clients.
  • Plan and execute large-scale AWS rehost and replatform migrations targeting EC2-based architectures.
  • Use AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service, AWS Server Migration Service, AWS Database Migration Service, CloudEndure, Double-Take, and AWS Migration Evaluator for migration planning and execution.
  • Assess application portfolios and define optimal migration strategies.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure services in multi-account environments.
  • Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and database server issues during migration.
  • Configure hybrid cloud networks using VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Application Load Balancers.
  • Automate migration and deployment processes with Python, Bash, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and CI/CD tooling.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure, application performance, database queries, and post-migration environments.
  • Build and manage container hosting platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, platform engineering, or related work.
  • Experience completing at least one large-scale rehost migration and one large-scale replatform migration to AWS EC2-based architectures.
  • Proficiency architecting, deploying, and maintaining AWS services and enterprise multi-account architectures.
  • Experience with AWS migration services, CloudEndure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Evaluator, and portfolio assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of AWS networking, security, compute, storage, messaging, monitoring, and database services.
  • Proficiency with Python, Bash, Core Java, and Scala scripting or programming.
  • Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Understanding of Windows or Linux operating systems, service-oriented architecture, cloud web services architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking, VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Application Load Balancers.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESX, NSX, vMotion, and VM export/import.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are valued.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM roles and policies, compliance requirements, and Agile and DevOps environments.
