Responsibilities
- Build large-scale platform products and services for Roku engineers and consumers.
- Collaborate with Product/Design teams to iterate and deploy software.
- Lead technology evaluations and enforce best practices in development.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Participate in the Agile development process, including scoping and maintenance.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience, preferably in Java.
- Expertise in building large-scale cloud services, ideally in AWS.
- Experience with data store selection and trade-off analysis.
- Familiarity with in-memory caching layers like Redis or Memcached.
- Track record of monitoring deploy quality and troubleshooting production systems.
- Strong knowledge of web architecture from end-user devices to data center services.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
