Responsibilities
- Own critical agents, copilots, and platform services and lead multi-person workstreams end to end.
- Design production-grade agentic systems covering orchestration, tool use, boundaries, memory, state, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and cost per task.
- Set the team’s quality, evaluation, observability, incident-response, and operational-discipline standards.
- Contribute code to the internal AI platform and improve shared engineering paths with the architect.
- Partner with business owners to scope, ship, and measure systems addressing ambiguous business problems.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and increase the team’s technical depth and autonomy.
Requirements
- Roughly 6+ years of software engineering experience, including designing and delivering complex production systems.
- Hands-on expertise with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, tool use, evaluation, and LLMOps practices such as versioning, regression testing, cost attribution, and observability.
- Production experience building or operating agentic systems with orchestration frameworks, Model Context Protocol tooling, vector stores, and runtime guardrails.
- Strong fundamentals in at least one of Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java, plus modern cloud-native infrastructure.
- Knowledge of safe autonomous-system governance, including capability boundaries, least-privilege access, human approval, audit trails, and evidence-based autonomy.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into well-bounded systems and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, raise technical standards, and gain design alignment without formal authority.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with teams in the United States.
- Bonus: experience re-engineering enterprise HR, finance, or go-to-market workflows, including audited or regulated processes.
- Bonus: experience deploying AI tooling at scale and using agent evaluation, observability, or identity and access tooling.
