Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts for backend services and APIs.
- Prioritize and automate smoke, regression, integration, contract, and non-functional test cases.
- Build and maintain API, contract, and integration test suites for microservices and platform components.
- Develop and execute performance, load, stress, and stability tests, analyze results, and drive remediation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and gating flows while improving test reliability and reducing flakiness.
- Collaborate with developers, SREs, and product teams to reproduce, triage, and resolve issues.
- Define and maintain test data and environment strategies, including sandbox tenants, testing flags, and user configuration profiles.
- Support design refinement, feature planning, team ceremonies, and product releases.
- Mentor QA peers and improve automation maturity and testing practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in QA automation or a related engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience with backend and API automation frameworks and tools such as pytest, Postman/Newman, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs, including contract/schema validation and end-to-end integration testing.
- Familiarity with service virtualization, mocking tools, and containerized test environments; Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of software testing practices, test design, flaky test mitigation, and CI gating.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or New Relic.
- Experience designing and executing performance and load tests with tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and English-language skills.
- Experience in iGaming or similar real-time and transactional domains is strongly preferred.
