Responsibilities
- Define, implement, monitor, and improve secure software development education programs for software and test engineers.
- Review software designs and test plans against security standards and maintain comprehensive threat models for products and services.
- Lead the definition, review, documentation, and maintenance of security controls aligned with current threat models.
- Review development and security verification tools to ensure they are secure, compliant with industry standards, and effective.
- Assess and prioritize internally and externally discovered vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation of third-party software vulnerabilities.
- Mentor, coach, train, and advise team members while promoting security best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience with security testing methodologies and tooling.
- Experience with CVSS scoring.
- 3+ years of cloud security experience with an AWS Security Specialty certification or equivalent cloud security specialist certification.
- Knowledge of AWS, EKS, and encryption.
- 3+ years of experience with compliance controls including NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, and related frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience with security incident processes and vulnerability assessment, prioritization, and remediation coordination.
- Strong mentorship and coaching skills for guiding engineering teams on secure software development practices.
- Preferred experience defining security education programs, reviewing designs and test plans, maintaining enterprise threat models, serving as a primary security contact, and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred record of thought leadership, knowledge sharing, coaching, and improving security functions.
